Amati World Dance provides Middle Eastern & American Belly Dance classes, workshops, and performances for all audiences. Amati has been studying and performing belly dance since 2005. She has studied American Cabaret, Turkish, Lebanese, Egyptian Oriental, and folkloric styles. Amati is currently co-director of the professional dance company Al Amal Belly Dance Company. She has also performed with the dance troupes Raks the Casbah of Marlboro, VT and The Raq-ettes of Lebanon, NH. Amati's solo performances are improvisational or are choreographed by herself. Amati is a certified pre- and post-natal exercise instructor and has created her own belly dance fitness routine for expecting and new moms. Amati also enjoys researching the history of belly dance. She strives to share her knowledge with her students and the public to break down common misconceptions about belly dance. Amati began studying Hula and Bollywood in 2012 and while she continues to learn she offers short performances, beginner level instruction, and dance fitness classes in the styles of Hawaiian Hula and Indian Bollywood.
