From the graceful turns of Fred Astaire to the hard-hitting steps of Savion Glover, tap dance has many styles and approaches. This class will teach a variety of steps from rhythm tap, soft shoe, Broadway, hoofing, and contemporary tap styles, discussing the differences between the techniques and performance qualities, as well as giving students a large vocabulary of new steps and ideas.

Ryan P. Casey is a “whimsically inventive” (The Boston Globe) teacher, performer, writer, and choreographer regularly seen in Boston and New York.
